Pete & Angie Nelson are church planters in Northern Australia. Below is a brief praise/prayer report of what is currently happening as they seek to fulfill the call of God to make disciples among the beautiful people of Australia:
1) Refugee ministry in Sydney
The Lord has opened up incredible doors working with the Arab communities in the Western suburbs of Sydney. We have had many opportunities now to minister to that community along side the oldest Arabic speaking fellowship in the city. This has allowed us to form a solid reception plan for the refugee’s currently migrating to Australia. My recent trip to Iraq was incredible. And, it lent a ton of credibility for us with Iraqi migrants here in Sydney.
-We are now prayerfully considering the next step as to regular Bible study meetings in that area.
-Connecting refugee’s with the Bible-centered Arabic speaking churches as they arrive.
-A potential conference gathering all the Arab churches together for encouragement and equipping.
2) Preaching in the city
We are a bit perplexed but super blessed that we keep getting asked by various groups to minister in the city. There are some really great ministries spawning near the University of Sydney. This has been a fulfillment to our hearts to be able to speak into a younger generation.
What is the Lord doing with us in this, and how are we to proceed?
3) Veteran ministry
Angie has been asked to take over a program with ailing veterans. The program incorporates her equine assisted therapy credentials.
She is in a position to impact lives and hurting hearts in a secular arena that sometimes the church can’t get to.
4) Northern Beaches Church plant
-For God to pour out His Spirit (only the Holy Spirit plants churches:)
-Unity, clarity, and community.
Sarah Eggert - CRU @ Sac. State
Joyce Ting -- AIM 4 Asia
Sarah Eggert is currently serving with CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) as a missionary on the campus of Sacramento State University. You can read her bio and latest news letter by clicking here.
Joyce Ting is currently serving in Cambodia with Agape International Missions (AIM). In light of the fact that there are over 1 million children entering the sex trade every year, AIM exists to fight sex trafficking through prevention, rescue, restoration, and reintegration of the women and children being exploited. We are guided by the distinct philosophy that God anointed the Church through the power of Jesus to overcome evil, and it is the love of Jesus Christ, through His followers, that will ultimately defeat the evils of sexual slavery. Joyce can be reached at email@example.com.

Jonathan Eggert - CRU @ Sac. State
Collin Burnett - CRU @ Sac. State
Mali Sponsored Children
Jonathan is a Senior at Sac State in the Sociology Department. Growing up as the son of a pastor allowed him the opportunity to know who God was at a young age. It wasn’t until Jonathan was a Freshman and began attending Cru at Sac State (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) that he began to pursue the Lord on a personal level. Jonathan began to see that God was weaving all of his interactions and the paths he was walking as ways to lead him exactly where He wanted him to go. After being a student involved with Cru for over five years, Jonathan is back at Sac State as staff to bring the light of Jesus to Sacramento State University.
Collin is currently ministering to college athletes as an intern with Athletes In Action at Sacramento State University. Collin recently graduated from Sac State with a degree in Psychology and began working for Athletes In Action in the fall of 2015. He grew up locally and truly enjoys serving college students and at his home church, Metro Calvary.
Collin can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
